What did we do today? - Students used information from the pioneer journals to create a historical head of a pioneer youth. They drew/wrote 5 thoughts that would have been going through the mind of a pioneer youth.
- We talked about the living conditions in the Salt Lake Valley.
- I then explained the way Salt Lake City was organized and laid out using the grid system. I explained how the grid systems works. It was designed after Nauvoo, Illinois.
- We ended by explaining an upcoming project they are doing next week where they will create their own pioneer settlement. It will be due next Wednesday.
