- Students drew the map of the land ownership in the West during the 1840s.
- Students drew the route of the Mormon Pioneers to Utah.
- We then talked briefly about the Mormon Battalion.
- Students were then given a few pages with excerpts from journals of Mormon pioneer youth. Students read through the journals in preparation for the next day.
